How Does The Magento 2 hide price Extension Work?

Sometimes a store owner needs to show the product prices based on the customer groups to encourage the customers to personally contact the admin for prices and negotiation. To do so, hide the price details and the "Add to Cart" button for not logged-in visitors or guest visitors. Magento 2 hide price extension is beneficial to hide the prices based on the customer groups and categories. The extension is mainly used by Business to Business form as they work as wholesalers and sometimes their prices are different for specific customer groups and they do not want to display their prices for guests due to competition from the other businesses.


The admin can enable the Hide Price extension from its backend. Choose enable 'hide prices' from the backend. If you want to hide the price for a specific category select the categories which you want to enable the 'hide price' for. The admin can set any HTML code or text message instead of the price details. Enable the extension for the preferred customer groups. Choose the customer groups for which you want to enable the extension.

In the case of any product scope, navigate to Catalog > Products > Product Edit > Hide Price tab and allow the 'hide price' for that product. Configure these setting changes from the backend and the Hide Price extension is ready to work on the category page and product page! The price is hidden for customer groups you have chosen and for guests too. They will not be able to see the prices until the fulfillment of the desired action needed to see the prices.

This is how the admin can easily enable and disable the hide price extension from its backend. The extension is worth investing in if you want to connect to your customers personally.
